Olive Oil & Honey Lotions
Rich, nutritious olive oil, contributes essential fatty acids and vitamins A & E to the skin, while honey contributes trace minerals and possibly antibacterial factors as well as humectant qualities that draw moisture from the air into the skin. This lotion is very thick and creamy, and I'll soon be changing the packaging to jars rather than bottles because enough people have emailed me to say, "hey! i can't get the last bit out! and i really want to!". Available in a few scents: Lorelei (Lavender, Ylang-Ylang & Palmarosa essential oils), Tupelo (honey fragrance), Patchouli Orange (Patchouli & Sweet Orange essential oils) & Gardenia (gardenia fragrance).

![]() Apres-Soleil
This is a different recipe, and is specifically formulated to soothe skin that may have gotten a wee bit too much sun. Like my other lotions, it features olive oil which some studies indicate is particularly beneficial to burned skin-- but when I was researching oils to soothe my mother's skin during her radiation last year, I learned that rosehip seed oil is great for burns, as well-- so Apres-Soleil has plenty of that, as well. Soothing aloe vera, sea buckthorn, chamomile and other oils also contribute to this cream, and this year I've opted to scent it with something sunnier-- a light, fresh mango scent (not syrupy-- just sort of ...sweetish).
Keep it cool in the fridge for pleasantly chilly application when you first come in from outside!
