Scratch & Scrape New formula! An herbal salve featuring olive squalane for most efficient absorption into deep layers of skin (fancy!) and essential oils of antiseptic tea tree, sea buckthorn, lavender and chamomile in a base of calendula, olive, jojoba, organic sunflower oil, and beeswax. This formula has an improved texture and absorbs more readily than the waxier original version, and includes an essential oil blend that I believe improves the salve overall. I use it on everything from track scrapes and shaving nicks to kitchen cuts and blemishes on the mend. Soft formula makes application less painful! Bump & Bruise An herbal salve of olive squalane, chamomile and geranium essential oils in a base of arnica, calendula, sunflower and jojoba oils in local beeswax. This formula has an improved texture and absorbs more readily than the waxier original version, and includes an essential oil blend that I believe improves the salve overall. Also, a friend who had discovered that hickeys are pretty much just bruises that are more fun to get, but more embarrassing to wear, mentioned that this salve apparently helps with those, too. Straight Shea This salve is made of 100% shea butter. I have two grades of shea-- one is a very hard, raw shea butter I get from a cooperative of women in Ghana, and one is a softer, "lotion-grade" shea I get more locally. The raw shea butter is too stiff for most topical applications on their own, and the lotion-grade shea is a bit too soft-- so I made blend of the two that is firm enough to stand up to being kept in a tin in your pocket (won't melt and leak under normal circumstances), but is soft enough to melt on contact with actual skin. You'll find it perfect as an all-purpse salve-- it's great on split cuticles, chapped lips, noses that are rubbed raw from tissues during allergy or cold season, rough elbows, you name it. Unscented, it has a natural, lightly nutty/smoky shea scent. A little tin lasts a long time. (vegan) $5/0.35 oz tins.
